Sheila Cunningham
Radio Operator - Coastguard Marlborough
Sheila has been a Coastguard volunteer in Marlborough since 2023, bringing skills she learned as a radio operator in the Canadian Army.
“Early on, I was fortunate to go out as crew on a training exercise, and it was just awesome to watch everyone working together. Giving back to the community and helping people is really important to me.”
“If someone told me they wanted to be a radio operator for Coastguard, I’d say go for it! You could be a valuable part of this unit.”
