Unit President for Coastguard Sumner
Blair has spent 20 years with the Sumner Unit, giving his time freely to saving lives at sea on Canterbury’s rugged coastline.
Blair has always had a passion for giving back to his community, especially on the water. Having spent 30 years with the local surf lifesaving club, joining Coastguard was a natural fit.
As Unit President, the calibre of incredible people who volunteer their time with Coastguard is one of the driving forces behind Blair’s incredible dedication and commitment to the cause.
"Hanging around with a good group of people at Coastguard that get on with one another is really important and keeps you coming back every day. It’s good fun."
